Lifting "Ferret"

On November 8th, Chat Noir Productions filmed once more at the Heritage Boatyard: National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port.

Chat Noir are documenting the Keeping History Afloat scheme, a project for the National Historic Ships and the Canal and River Trust, which gives three trainees the opportunity to learn traditional boat-right skills*.

The latest filming shows the canal boat "Ferret" being craned into the Heritage Boatyard, so that the trainees can work on conserving this historic vessel. To commemorate the event, Chat Noir have produced two short films. One showing the entire Ferret craning and another recording the celebrations by the volunteers and the trainees.

Technology close-up

Today Chat Noir have been busy in the studio shooting a variety of close-ups for a new film project for Leyland and Leyland. Along with a variety of Apple laptops and iPhones, dressings included a selection of colour coordinated props designed to match the clients existing colour pallet.

Amsiggel in Moroccan

One of our on-going projects for the last couple of months has been "Amsiggel". This video is made up of a series of watercolour pictures, with a narration in Morrocan. For the past eight years our client has been working with a film company in the south of England, to see this work put together, but without any real progress. We're pleased to say the client is receiving a proof copy this week, after a few months of work.
